That time I got rejected

That time I got rejected three times on the same day!

"Henry Arthur Knight recently started high school and has fallen head over heals for a girl in the class above him. With a little bit of courage and a great deal of help from his friends, today is the day he is going to tell her how he feels!"

Initially titled 'Young Boy's Heart', the novella was written for the 2012 Vogel Literary Award by Allen & Unwin. The manuscript was later re-titled and revised for a Kickstarter campaign under the name 'Pursuing Nerissa'.  

After the unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign, 'Pursuing Nerissa', was re-titled again and uploaded to wattpad. 

The novella is styled in the genre of Australian Fiction and at 30,000 words. It is aimed towards young adults and teen readers.

Kickstarter Campaign

For the Kickstarter campaign I teamed up with the artist Ridwan Chandra Choa 'Meganerid' to provide a light novel experience with story and art. Due to a limited budget and marketing, the campaign was not successful.

Online Publishing

'Pursuing Nerissa' was later published on wattpad.com under the new title 'That time I got rejected three times in the same day!'. The full novella can be read here.
